David Muir, an American journalist who anchors the ABC News magazine 20 is best known as the co-anchor for World News Tonight With David Muir. Its dramatic video footage and the animated movements make it the most popular newscast in the United States. He is also known for his Emmy-nominated program Made In America. Prior to his appointment as anchor of ABC World News Tonight he was the main substitute anchor for his previous anchor Diane Sawyer. In recent years, he has covered many ABC News primetime specials including Breaking Point Heroin in America. The reporter has covered stories from all over the globe, including in Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti. He's been awarded numerous Emmy Awards Edward R. Murrow Awards as well as numerous distinctions and awards by The Associated Press.
