Audrey Tautou in Beaumont Puy De Domme, France, was born on the 9th of August 1976. Audrey Tautou is an eldest child in a family of four. Audrey Tautou's parents who were a dentist as well as a teacher at school, supported and encouraged her early love for drama and theatre. She initially hoped to become a master monkey was replaced by a desire to pursue a degree in theater and drama. A keen photographer, she created a show at The Arles International Festival entitled Superficial. The focus of her photography is celebrity, fame and the media that scrutinised her after her rise to fame with Amelie. There are also a number of photographs featuring herself. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and acclaim with her big part in the film Le Fabuleux d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie gained international attention because of its box-office success. The film was also recognized at awards ceremonies across the world. The film is still the top-grossing French language film in the US. After the film, she appeared in a variety of films, ranging from British dramas up to Jean Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. She then moved to Hollywood and appeared alongside Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
